Ack

Every time you submit something you tick all of the boxes to my heart (bold vivid colours, creative content, textures, etc.).

Keep hitting the right buttons, please.

M1as responds:

Oh Dear. I think the kindest and warmest critique somebody ever wrote for me.

Cute crab

and stellar colours

sucho responds:

i was lookin at your submission for last year's calendar while i was working on it and lamenting that i could have made it more monochromatic. this is too chaotic :C

Mm.

This is gonna sound exceptionally bitter, 50, but:
High score because it's Minecraft.

That's a real shame, and I'm quite disappointed in the voting public. This pic no way demonstrates or challenges anything that you, Fifty-50, are capable of, apart from you're highlighting towards yellow.

Fifty-50 responds:

Yeah I have agree! I'd expected a lower score since this generally took a small amount of time on it. I apologize to have disappointed you, I'll try my best to make a better picture next time. :) Thanks for reviewing Turkey. Greatly appreciated.

Unless somebody submits something epic soon ...

... it's going to be either you are Rhunyc who takes all the moneys.
Aamzing work, both with the original pencil drawing and the painting underneath. You could probably submit your Tricky the Clown by itself, and take a prize for his sheer dynamism.

Some of the foreshortening on Hank's and Tricky's right arm is a bit queer; even though you're covering up the forearm and elbow behind the hands, I feel they look misplaced, and can only be posed like that if they had several extra joints in the shoulder. Also the text in the top left corner: bleuch!

Fifty-50 responds:

Thanks for the crit turkey. :3 I'm sure I'll make it better. I'm just happy I was able to submit something this time.

It's a copy.

As Aetolon as said (and linked!) you have copied an existing anime drawing. In future, I would recommend you these unchecked as sketches, and provide a link to your reference in your author's comments.

HisInfernalLove responds:

Did not copy =__= I sketched a picture off google and just changed the hair, again it's not original work. I would give credit to the original author if there were so many people saying it's their work. I don't plagiarize or anything of the sort. Thank you and have a nice day

Good. One problem:

This self-portrait looks nothing like me.
Please fix.

J-qb responds:

Well son, you look a little like me and a little like your mama; just like I look a little like your granpa and a little like your grandma.

I FP'd it ...

... cos it's good, you're a good artist who needs more attention, and you haven't been on the FP this year.

Hope you've got something in the pipeline, so I can totally regret my decision.

sucho responds:

b..but.......my other uploads are beeeetttteeerrr *whiiiiiiine* nnneeeeeh

ayup

Looks fab.
Hate to be a dork, but how do you handle psychic Pokemon, and why have you chosen not to evolve Scyther?

Kumakun4 responds:

I actually haven't played in years, so this team is zero strategy haha. I just grabbed my old Pokémon Yellow Player's Guide and went with what looked good.
Machamp looked like good anatomy practice and Hitmonlee is there due to a recent Kung Fu craving.
I also had no idea Scyther could evolve.

Tobor

Great highlights, great rendering, great perspective.
I hope you're proud of yourself.

I've deducted a point because you haven't yet tagged this robotday2011, and that's just silly for something of this standard.

Please remedy this.

Misgoverned Bathrobe Element

The linework is great, a cyborg hydra ticks all the right boxes for me!
I think your painting is a bit ambitious, however. You've got a few regions of different colours (red, grey, blue and purple), which don't work together as a whole. Keep your colour scheme simple, and let your linework do the talking.

You've also got some blotchy spots of shading on the hydra, which looks clumsy compared to the details in the linework. Also I feel your castle is a bit impoverished of attention compared to the hydra, and whatever it's seated on looks more like a planet than a hill.

Hydra rarrarararar

Ramatsu responds:

Yeah it was abit of trouble keeping it consistent with a mouse, and the program would close when ever it wanted so I would save it like every few minutes, was a pain in the ass... But yeah I would have to show you some of my concept landscapes for this planet it's huge and it has odd shapes for the mountains water hills, etc. This planet has an unamed number of moons and has 75 suns orbiting around it instead of it orbiting around one sun,

Hey
