I think you need to drop the cute smiley thumbnail, Zane, since I reckon you'll pull in more views if people could see your glorious robot suits and designs.
The shape of the chest isn't too clear - I can't picture what it would look like if he turned on the spot. The tri-force symbol also raises questions, even if it's not supposed to be linked with Zelda in anyway. Would be cool to see motifs like that incorporated into the suit design.

ZaneZansorrow responds:

B-But I like the :3 face D:

But yeah, I can see what you mean about the chest not being too clear, I was caught up having fun painting it by the spot that I wasn't fully thinking about hoe it would look like as a whole.

The triforce is a custom symbol that I use in Halo 4 (and the other Halo games) that I use as a symbol, doesn't hold any significant meaning behind it though :P

I'm aware you're making a tit thumbnail to pull in views, but honestly you're not going to attract the people who will rate and review this properly. The shading and linework on your wolf's face are great, and so is your choice of colours. These have the pulling power, so flaunt them!

I think the huge empty space in the north west corner is daring, but ultimately makes the pic seem too spacious. I don't think the glow on the girl works too well, since she has also been shaded like the wolf. Had she been coloured like there was a light emitted from her, then the glow effect /may/ work. I don't think she's been seated on the wolf too well, either.

Diives responds:

Thanks for you review! I appreciate it so much, this say so much about you, you'r a very good artist!
I guess you'r right, really don't know how can I paint the girl if her is the light in the picture, I need more training.
The background is my worst area, I need to work so much in this part..
Thanks for the compliment about the wolf, I will do my best in the next work :)

You pissed people off? You're gonna have to link these forums to these forum threads some time, I could do with a laugh.

These look great, though. The vivid lines on the bricks and the tiles give it a decent look, but it also makes the scene very busy. It may work better during gameplay when you're moving the figure about. Would look forward to seeing an adventure RPG like this. (not an FF spinoff tho)

I really enjoy the warm colours in your autumn leaves in this, and it's really refreshing to see a decent water colour.

However, I do find the hair looks as though it's standing up by itself, and I wouldn't believe it's caught in the wind since the leaves and grass aren't moving in the same direction.

(also the obnoxious review below bugs me)

Luciaea responds:

Thank you!! The hair and the outlining is a stylistic point more than it is an attempt to convey truth. I highly recommend looking at Mucha's girls - both elements are highly inspired by those paintings.

WELL I WONDER WHY THIS PIC IS IN "POPULAR ART"
HMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I reckon you could have avoided using outlines on this pic, Kinsei, and the hips are twisted compared to the torso.

I think the colour of your succubus would appear more yellow, since the backgrounds suggests she's under a yellowish light. Keeping this in mind would make your subject mesh with the background more easily, as well, since you're limiting the colour palette.

Kinsei responds:

Surely I have no clue why it would be so popular :3

Alright, I'll pour in a bit more thought in to the outlining. Perhaps trying to blend it in a bit more to the over all character or piece.

A twist in the hips indeed. I was trying to go for a twisted midsection, but it seems to not translate well.

Your right I should have used more yellowing in my highlighting. A result of poor planning in my opinion. I had the coloring done on her for about a day before I started a background. I hadn't even thought one up. So it was just kind of slapped in there.
This isn't the first time I've done this. I really do need to plan more.

Thanks ToaS. its nice to get some feedback.

Mark this review as abusive (cos I'm referring to some previous reviews), but I'm annoyed.

Tneconno, Opposition, quit tooting your horns.
A simple TinEye comparison will show you that a) the hair doesn't match up perfectly and that b) the background is slightly different (cos an actual person isn't THAT meticulous, while a filter is).

... having said that, it is a flat-out copy of a photograph and, while it is good enough to trick people into thinking it's a photomanipulated image, it would be best for ALL to mention your reference.

Don't suppose you have a few more shots of the cap design? Kinda hard to see what's happening on the "C" side of the "DC" cap.

Ha, gorgeous as usual.

Ha, ok! That's a great ending.
I like the work you put in to the other pages, as well.

Flowers10 responds:

Thanks, put allot of effort into this!

Gosh this is brilliant, and incredibly well rendered.
I would love to know how you go about creating some of your paintings, bust or otherwise.
