Oh, yes!
5'ing, since we need more tutorials In the portal.
As a comment, I think with cave walls it's ok to be slightly brain-dead and let the brushes you are using to establish rock formations randomly.
I think the stuff you said about references and lighting is great. But I think it's worth underlining to think about where the light source is. Is the light coming from the viewer, or the subjects in your scene?
Yeah, all good points. The light for this project kinda has to be faked, the light in general would be from the character in the scene, or the viewer of the image, I tried to make the light come from the center of the 'room' and slightly elevated as a generic light source for all scene sprites. Making games is hard ;_;
@Sonnyisme
... except THIS video is from 2010.
So it's either worth 10/10 for being a fun simple joke about a buzz killer,
or 10/10 for an apparently precognitive ability about a 2013 video.
Certainly not a 0/10 for a video that has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS ANIMATION.
is my point view.
... why are their heads on the crotch?
Apart from this meaningless distraction, and the other random-for-the-sake-of-it stuff, it just the same ol' iBullshit gag I've heard for the past ten years.
The animation is good, it's just a shame the ideas in this video wastes it.
I'm incapable of reviewing this, only thankful that you've put up a time lapse of your work. I will toss out a thought:
From car's inception you work with dozens of perspective lines so that you can begin sketching the car. That's fine, but I'd be tempted to sketch out a car first so that I've got a rough idea of what it looks like - and tweak its shape to fit the perspective afterwards.
Did you have a rough idea of what the car shape was going to be like, or was it structured by your guidelines?
It's base on an existing car, so I kind of knew almost exactly what it was going to look at. I agree wiht you, like, when doing concept art for stuff I almost never build from perspective, I just rough it, and then redo it with guide lines if need be, but on this I was already drawing something from references, so I essentially just rebuilt it in perspective. I added my own little things here and there and left some stuff out I didn't like, but I agree with you, you're right.
Firstly, your chibi sprites look great, and the animation is good. But:
I have Monster Hunter Tri, and I have to say I really didn't get this since nobody behaves like this online; the better stuff is usually found on completion of the quest, and nobody half-defeats a monster. Then I realised this joke is from the old game from 2005, which I haven't played. Although you're using Barroth and Quropeco armours so I thought you were referring to the current generation.
I think you could have done better if you DIDN'T make a carbon copy of the comic. It's still true that the heart of the game is still slaughtering animals with no remorse for gear, so I wouldn't have thought this would have been much of a stretch to write a story this is more relevant to the current game. You can still credit the comic artist for the inspiration.
I'm not a fan of when people animate other people's comics, anyway, since people can develop their own jokes and ideas. But it's your homage to a comic you enjoy, so I can't downvote you for that.
yes, it was just a hommage to inkoseh's comic and just updating with 3rd gen armor sets. I do have some ideas of my own, but i wanna start it off with this, and get some establishing characters out first.
This is a video I've been meaning to catch for a while, since I've wondered about the odds of your parents coming together, what other combinations of sperm and egg there are, and other stuff that bring you into existence.
While you admit that it's figures pulled from Google, it's a large step further than the majority of users have achieved, let alone considered the idea. I'm glad you've managed to assemble it into a concise and entertaining movie.
Eugh, people pointing out the sameyness of the DBZ storylines has been done to death.
I'm sure that the storylines only feel repetitive, since we've been watching similar movies making the same parody jokes for the past 10 years.
And I'm sure displeased viewers have made this same comment for that long too, eh, mate? ;)
