looks interesting will it be modeled inside and out? like a blueprint?
I've modelled the stair case core in SketchUp, but that's the only bit in the brief we needed to fill out. That's because if we made the core too compact, it would be nearly impossible to get to the top, or claustrophobic.
No need for interior designing sadly, we're to design the structure and engineer it so it's buildable.
Blueprint wise, should have got an AutoCAD plot for the views and detailing by the end of the next week. I'll try to post a jpeg sometime by then.
Never liked architecture or constructions. All that detailed measuring... ugh...
*barfs a dog*
Just freaking love architecture. This thing pwns.Another great job by TOAST
I fail at architecture, this is more structural engineering.
Thanks tho :)
ha! you said Joint! :3
Full penetration butt weld.
I think we're funny :'(
and green light for a music vid!
Just let me know how I can help... xD
oh and you know Tom T....?
His girlfriend told myself and Mr Evans that she *shudders"
that she....*shudders*
...*yet more shuddering*
fingers Tom's anus!
barf.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
!
looks like the a good shake or good wind will pull those joints apart....but it looks great still....good job man
Yeah it's because the columns are hollow sections, whilst the joints are blocks of steel. The 12 joints and core are enough to take the wind on the tower.
Vibration wise, you may have a point since they're pretty slender. Never checked it.
Whoa! Never realized you'd be studying the same shit as me! You seem to be WAYYY ahead, tho.
Ha that's so lush! I got the vibes that you were an engineer, somehow.
And yeah, fourth and final year.
lol structural engineering is for pitiful losers who are too smart for architecture yet too dumb for physics, sry but its the truth
It's the truth how?
quite a beautiful work of art, een if it was not meant to be.

It sucks. You dildo

Got some element sizing, and connection detailing done :) You love it.
